CHOOSE RESPONSIBLY FOR A CLEAN CITY
CAMPAIGN GOES TO PLOIEȘTI

Two years after launching the campaign in Bucharest Sector 3, then Iasi and Constanta, our campaign goes to Ploiesti, the city that is home to over 1000 BAT employees. The new street bin models were designed by Romanian artists and voted on the podium of a national design competition organized by one of the Romania’s most prestigious design magazines, Igloo. The MATCA concept was inspired by a beehive where individuals work together for the greater common good.

The project is implemented with the support of Green Academy, our partner in the project, and the Ploiesti City Hall, whom we want to thank for answering our invitation to jointly raise awareness and develop a sustainable infrastructure for the proper disposal of cigarette stubs. The street bins are produced by Step Proiect. Since launching the campaign, several tons of cigarette stubs were responsibly disposed and used in energy recovery in cement factories.
