BAT Investment Commitment for the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) certification

In the context of the AWS Certification received by BAT Investment Romania for good water management, the company commits to:

• • implement actions and disclose progress on improvements against the five AWS Standard outcomes, namely: good water governance, sustainable water balance, good water quality status, healthy status of important water-related areas, and safe water, sanitation and hygiene for all.

• • engage and involve stakeholders in an open and transparent manner.

• • comply with legal and regulatory requirements concerning water-related rights, including adequate access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene for all site employees.

• • collaborate with public sector agencies and ensure that the site's water stewardship efforts are aligned with and support existing catchment sustainability policies and plans, including the Buzau-Ialomita River Basin Management Plan.

• • ensure the continuous improvement and adaptation of water stewardship actions and plans at the Ploiesti site.

• • allocate the necessary human and financial resources for the implementation and maintenance of AWS requirements and water stewardship actions at the Ploiesti site.

• • support national and international water-related agreements and disclose relevant water stewardship information or materials to interested stakeholders and the public.
